Historique

En 1887, Gordon Bennet Jr., fils du fondateur du New York Herald, chassé des Etats-Unis pour délit d'opinion, s'installe à Paris et relance le journal, à destination principalement des Américains et du vieux continent. En 1967, le New York Times et le Washington Post s'associent au New York Herald Tribune, qui devient l'International Herald Tribune. Le siège de la rédaction reste à Paris, mais certains articles sont repris des deux grands frères de la côte Est.

Depuis 2003 il est la propriété à 100% du groupe New York Times.
